I was wondering what the community's thoughts would be on an Opposite Lock Podcast. I was thinking that it would be a panel of three or four people from the community talking about car news and whatever the hell we felt like talking about.

Sounds interesting. I've been told I have a face for radio and a voice for silent movies. Or was that the other way around. I'd do it.

I'm not terribly tech-savvy, but if somebody walks me through it, then shit, yeah I'll talk about whatever.

I'm always embarrassed to hear my own voice, though. It's, like, two octaves higher than I think it is.

I'd be more willing to lend a hand on being a host if you want. Heck, before, I also wanted to do an Oppo podcast but I don't feel like taking up the leadership for the project. Here's to seeing it work!

Seems like it would be tough to do if the hosts didn't know each other well/ interact outside the podcast. It might also be clumsy if the hosts weren't in the same room... But yeah I'd be down to try it.

I think this is an awesome idea! I'd definitely tune in.

If I could chime in: I think a cool idea would be to interview a new Opponaut in every show and ask what brought them to Oppo/cars in general, what they drive, what's their passion other than cars, etc. It would be nice to learn what/who makes up the Oppo community!

I agree with your idea of an Oppo youtube series.

I know they are some incredibly talented art-oriented folks on Oppo who could film the crap out of an Oppositelock sub-series. Jalopnik already has its own series on /Drive and an Oppo-minded show would showcase what Jalopnik is all about. It's the enthusiast lifestyle that drives viewers towards /Drive anyways, so why not show what the common enthuiast is about? Don't get me wrong, it's fantastic what Petrolicious does by showcasing incredibly passionate owners and their cars, but the thing is, most of the time, the vehicle is universally lovable.

Oppositelock is quirky, that's why I'm still here. The people and their cars are fascinating to me. There are so many Opponauts here who own cars that normal folks would turn away from.

tl;dr: I want to know what kind of person drives a brown, diesel, manual, wagon miata.
